Hello, I am ...

Alexandre Roussel

Just another geek

I am a systems thinker, step-by-step explainer, fraud analyst, weekend pilot, and a healthy skeptic of anything that sounds too good to be true.

I like taking things apart to see how they actually work — a support workflow, a scam pattern, a computer I've built and rebuilt one too many times, an engine that needed diagnosing before it needed fixing. Give me an ambiguous problem and some time to dig, and I'm happy. Give me confident advice with no data behind it, and I'll want to check the numbers myself. I've spent enough years watching markets move to have a decent instinct for spotting an opportunity early and figuring out how to actually capture it.

I've also spent most of the last decade living somewhere other than France — a year in Australia, close to a year in Prague, and the last five, mostly, in the Canary Islands. It's made me pretty comfortable dropping into a new place, a new team, or a new language and figuring out how things work fast, without needing everything explained twice.

During my career

I studied international management, then spent the years since bouncing between tourism, fraud investigation, crypto exchanges, and SaaS support — somehow always ending up owning more of the picture than the job title suggested. Alongside that, I've kept building things on my own terms: a GPU mining farm assembled component by component, a friend-run crypto airdrop operation with its own infrastructure and division of labor, and enough Python, bash, and VPS management along the way to keep my technical instincts current.

Now

I'm working with Waltio through the current fiscal season, supporting users on a crypto tax platform and feeding what I learn back into the product — while keeping half an eye out for the next thing worth building, or owning outright.
